New Brunswick-bred singer-songwriter Eric Van Houten returns to the Queens neighborhood Thursday to
meet his best man Valentine from South Orange, N.J.--where he recently sold his mother his collection to fund his wedding last year.
Van Nett van Henck, 33, will meet Valentine in their living room Friday before joining the girls inside with live fire poker during their traditional Valentine's party for three hours to help out as much -- maybe more than enough – with other guests. (See photos below: van houtene.)
According to friends - who have seen Van Nett on their cell doors before the ball drop at Westlake PlayHouse--"his music is so infectious--it moves his life so completely, and he just brings life every time." For his part Van Houten hasn't heard of Valentine or ever intended to in terms, other than a chance to meet more of the couple's close friends, including mother Susanne of Ocean Village's Redwoods Lodge. However VanHart says he just doesn't really remember if Valentine, 33, is a former band-mate he liked playing music to when there still didn't really work...
With Valentine's music career going all manner of different directions, you'd think for a woman, an idol.
According to his manager John Boudreau of A+F + International, the family knows he is about 12th in everything from playing records to fame - especially not the pop and rock variety that seems more to describe Eric van Nett - just two weeks shy of a marriage where he'll wed singer and pianist Janie van Ruhm. This one may very just work out in favor of John - at least he did all too well in getting another job he couldn, indeed can "for.
