The city police department confirmed they were investigating a shooting assault at The Chicago Riverwalk amusement center in September and released surveillance camera, cellphone photos taken during police line-crossing. But it's not as much for their own investigation – The Smoking Stoe was actually investigated more recently for illegally buying fireworks on Ogdensport lakefront earlier this spring by Fire Inspector James Pfeig, who issued this statement (PDF)
